The era of WWII enamors me in so many ways.

The spirit of humanity, the value of family, and the willingness to help a stranger seems so very different today from the miles of archival footage we see of those years from 1939-1945. That certainly isn’t to say that everyone followed the same wholesome path. The world had serious concerns and evil was noticeably present.

Seventy years ago today, the United States of America changed when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. The Greatest Generation stepped forward and earned their title decades before it was ever penned.

I respect that era immensely and I can only hope that my children learn to do the same.
