saturday’s cowgirls

Today was an absolutely beautiful day for the first mark of October. I spent it outdoors, enjoying the weather and the events at the State Fair of Virginia.

I saw a red tomato wearing a blue ribbon, fried dill pickles, Secretariat’s great grandson, fried Twinkies, hatching chicks, fried peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, a 1019 lb. pumpkin, fried cheese cake, fried Kool-Aid, fried macaroni and cheese, and mess of real life genuine cowboys doing what they do best, …being real life and genuine.

It was fabulous way to spend day one of month ten.
