Ms. Barnes purchased her brand new Light Crescent Green American Motors four-door sedan in the spring of 1966.
As a base model, the four-door had no radio, air conditioning, or carpeting.
But the car was equipped with lovely fabric patterned upholstery, a three-speed manual transmission, two padded sun visors, and enough chrome to require a darn good pair of dark sunglasses.
